Rounds 19+20 - Silverstone

For this track, it isn't a good idea to run a speed build because its about 1.5 seconds a lap slower than a handling built car.
So far, I've managed a 1:49.4xx around silverstone but I used the tune from Laguna Seca. There is more to come out of the Vette but it wouldn't be a good idea to go with a speed build. If you are wondering, I'm using the build with 505bhp.

i was thinking the Stock Hp builds would be best here. havent had a chance to test any of them out yet though, but i have some time tonight. ok, so you did a 1:49.4 with the Laguna tune. lets see what i do with some other ones. im thinking the Catalunya tune would work, as most of the corners at Catalunya are pretty flat, similar to Silverstone, but Catalunya has more elevation changes. Bugatti might not be bad either

ok. i took my Bugatti tune out to Silverstone, and not even through my standing-start lap, i knew there were changes needed, and with tweeks here and there, within 8 laps, i got the vette down to a 1:48.8(either an 847 or 874)

I reckon the pace will be at 1:47's or 1:48's so we've got a bit of work to do yet. I need to take some of the downforce off anyway from the Laguna set-up. But hopefully again, it should be another good team performance.......hopefully!

with a few hours left before the finale, i just sat down for a few more laps to kick the bugs out of my vette, and with a few more tweeks to the tune im working on, i landed a 1:48.592 around Silverstone. now will i be able to do that repeatedly? knowing my consistency, probably not. But i will send that tune out to you Dan & Dan (Y22) now!

I had a fun afternoon. i Qualified with a 1:49.086 which was good for 3rd, YAY! PLOW NickFTM beat me out by 0.156 seconds. In race 1, at the start Aero and i entered Turn 1 side by side, and i got squeezed out into the outside rumble strip, as i was expecting with the nature of that corner if you enter off the preffered line. and then saw Aero overshoot the brake zone into the shicanes seeing him go off into the Sticky grass. worked my way up to 3rd, managed to hit a 1:48.503 while trying to run NickFTM down, but im happy with a 3rd in the first race.

2nd race had a bit more fun. having to start 5th was a bit tricky. i let Chillz and NickFTM by me on the first couple laps so i can worry about getting through the slower traffic without anyone hounding the back of my Vette. After i got by Richy59 to take 3rd again, myself, Nick, and Chillz just set sail on the rest of the field. only managed a 1:48.90x in this race though. Overall, a solid 3rd place points finish helped me claim 2nd in the Driver Standings by 8 points! Its a shame VVV Slim hadnt showed to make this a more interesting day.
